| Beautiful and rare early Kangxi aubergine glaze pear vase, the body sloping gracefully at the shoulders, the neck rising with a hint of concave shape to the mouth where the glaze flows over and inside the neck, the deep aubergine pooling nicely at the foot, the foot rim unglazed with the base unmarked and burn orange in the firing. 17th/18th C. 6 in. high
