| The shallow rounded sides resting on a short foot, the centre colourfully painted in bright doucai enamels with three feathery phoenix in mid-flight around a stylised peony spray, the exterior decorated with a further four phoenix separated by more peony blooms issuing from meandering vines, all between single and double line borders, with an alternating 'C'-scroll and dot-decorated band encircling the foot, inscribed on the base with the six-character Qianlong seal mark in underglaze-blue and of the period.
