| The overglaze blue and white enamel painted in large lotus flowers with up shooting white petals amidst other floral decorations and lotus leaves and tendrils, large white bats encircling the neck, a band of insects around the mouthrim, an effaced Guangxu six character mark and of the period on the base. 20 in. high.

Vases of this period and type are no longer available in the US market. They are rare and excellent examples of porcelain produced shortly after the Guangxu emperor took the Imperial throne upon the death of Tongzhi. Once sold they will never be found again in America.
