| Rare early Ming cloisonne three footed censer with two handles decorated with stylized foliated dragons and tendrels of double lotus leaves, all beneath three bands of different ruyi and leaves in different colored enamels, the bottom with a band of yellow enamel tablets surrounding double lotus leaves. 15th C. 7 1/2 in. diam.
Provenance: Croton-on-Husdon, New York Estate This three footed censer is very rare and we have been unable to find another like it published. |
