| With three medallions of flowers and a medallion of lingzhi mushrooms circling the bowl, a lappet collar around the footrim and a band of ruyi lappets at the mouthrim in a delicate lime green color enamel, the interior white, a six character Daoguang mark and of the period in overglaze red on the base. Tiny footrim chip restored. 6 1/2 in.

This lime green bowl is rare and we have been unable to find another one like it that has been published. Compare a similar bowl with four evenly spaced double orchid sprays on the exterior but Jiaqing, Sotheby's Hong Kong, May 4, 1994, lot 262 and one illustrated by Cecile and Michel Beurdeley, La Ceramique Chinoise, col. pl. 109. |
