Heavily floral designed cloisonne baluster vase the flowers fully covering the exterior and rising up the shoulder to the neck which is surrounded by a band of ruyi, all of which is on a black ground, the base with an impressed "China" mark. 9 in. high

Under the Tariff Act of 1888 all Chinese cloisonne vases brought into the United States were required to have their Chinese origin stamped or painted on the base. The Tariff Act was repealed in 1923.
