Finely painted on a thin white biscuit paste mille fleur bowl in multi-colored bright enamels on a black ground interspersed with gilt tendrils, the body rising up to an everted rim in classic form, the interior glazed white, an apocryphal six character Qianlong mark in iron red on the base. Guangxu. 6 1/2 in. diam.
Condition: Tiny rim frit as shown. Otherwise perfect without chips, cracks, hairlines or other damages.

This is a high quality Guangxu period mille fleur bowl potted in white, thin porcelain and should not be confused with the many poorly painted and fabricated bowls of similar design that were also made during the late 19th/early 20th C.
