| Finely painted famille rose bowl depicting on the exterior four Immortals surrounded by their disciples in multi-colored enamels in a Yongzheng palette, the faces surrounded with halos, the immortals seated on lotus leaves amidst clouds, the interior with a seated holy man in the cavetto, the base with a four character mark surrounded by two dragons chasing a pearl in overglaze iron red. Qing/Republic. 7 1/2 in. diam.
Condition: Several pieces restuck, some rim frits filled with associated overpainting.
Provenance: Phoenix, Arizona estate. Acquired in 1927.
This is a very well painted bowl utilizing brilliant but subdued multi-colored enamels emulating the 18th C Yongzheng style. It is rare to the market.
