Market conditions have made it increasingly difficult to find and acquire perfect examples from vetted Western collections of Imperial and Mark and Period porcelain. As a consequence more fine Chinese porcelains are coming to the market with condition issues. Meiping Ltd believes strongly that this trend will continue as fewer rare Chinese ceramics remain available.

Almost all of Meiping Ltd’s inventory of Chinese art is in perfect condition. However, over the past 35 years Meiping Ltd. has purchased a number of rare Imperial and Mark and Period porcelains with some condition problems.

All of these damaged ceramics had repairs done prior to Meiping Ltd's acquisition of them using techniques that often involved over spraying the glazes and decoration. That makes it difficult to know the extent of the damage to the piece.

Meiping Ltd has a policy of removing all repairs and restorations to Chinese ceramics that it acquires in order that it can determine the exact extent of any problems with these pieces.

When Meiping Ltd decides to repair any porcelain in its collection it uses its own restorers who use conservation methods that only involve the specific area of the piece actually damaged. There is never overspraying of the glaze or decoration.

In most cases the repair is invisible to the eye. However, when placed under a black light the specific area of repair can be seen immediately.

In every case Meiping Ltd fully discloses the extent of any repairs and restorations to its clients. Further, any repaired porcelain is subject to Meiping Ltd's unconditional guarantee of satisfaction.

The integrity of the relationship between Meiping Ltd and its clients will never be compromised.

By making fine and rare Chinese ceramics with some condition problems available to its clients Meiping Ltd provides them with the opportunity of acquiring pieces that would otherwise be both difficult and extremely costly to find.
